Keypath Education, a full-service partner for higher education institutions worldwide, has announced two key hires to its executive team as the company continues to innovate ahead of the ever-changing education industry. Keypath welcomes Lee Kantz as the new vice president of partnership development and Eric Israel as general counsel.

“We are thrilled to have Eric and Lee on board,” said Keypath Education CEO Steve Fireng. “With their extensive experience both in and outside of the industry, they provide invaluable perspective and skill as we grow to serve higher education institutions worldwide.”

Kantz comes to Keypath with an extensive background in education marketing. The former chief marketing officer at the University of Illinois Global Campus and director of learning products at monster.com has helped a wide variety of companies build successful digital marketing strategies. In his new role at Keypath, Kantz will foster partnerships with companies wanting to offer their audiences a way to further their education.

“I'm excited about this opportunity to leverage Keypath’s higher education expertise to build new relationships in the industry and further its mission of changing lives through education,” Kantz said.

Also starting in early 2016, Eric Israel joined Keypath with more than 17 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, securities, general contracts, corporate governance, and education-related legal issues. He was most recently the general counsel at the Meritas International Family of Schools, a network of private K-12 college preparatory schools with 10 campuses and 2,000 employees located throughout the United States, Mexico, Switzerland and China. He received his Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of Michigan and Juris Doctor from Loyola University Chicago School of Law.

“I have had the good fortune of spending most of my career in the education world, both at the K-12 and postsecondary levels,” Israel said. “I am a firm believer that there needs to be broad access to higher education opportunities for anyone with the desire and commitment to pursue them. Education opens doors not only to career opportunities but also to broader thinking, tolerance and compassion. I am excited to join Keypath, a company that is focused on helping to change people’s lives for the better.”
